Commentary from the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets game on Dec. 4, 2012. The Lakers gave up a 17 point lead with less than 10 minutes to go and Houston radio commentator Craig Ackerman had one of the best lines I've heard in awhile to say. Ackerman was also mocking out Lakers Guard Kobe Bryant's recent comment about Lakers Forward Pau Gasol in which Bryant said "Put your big-boy pants on. Just adjust. Just adjust. You can't whine about it. You can't complain about it."
This Halloween photograph of San Antonio Spurs stars Tim Duncan and Tony Parker has surfaced and depicts the two players pointing guns at another individual dressed as NBA official Joe Crawford.
Duncan and Crawford have had their differences in the past. in a game against the Dallas Mavericks on April 15, 2007, Joe Crawford ejected Duncan after the Spurs Forward/Center supposedly laughed at the official from the bench. After that, Duncan may or may not have used an expletive directed at or describing Crawford. Then Crawford, according to Duncan, challenged Duncan to a fight. This led to Crawford's suspension two days later by the NBA. Duncan was fined $25,000 by the league for verbal abuse of an The latest discussion about this photograph is should Duncan and Parker be suspended, fined, or punished in some form by the NBA for this picture. What do you think? Chicago Bears 24-14 Seattle Seahawks Bears win because Cutler is healthy (healthier), Forte is playing, and most importantly, the Bears are home. The Seahawks are 1-5 away and their only came against the Carolina Panthers in week three. Buffalo Bills 30-28 Jacksonville Jaguars Bills narrowly over the Jags this week. I wanted to take the Jaguars because of how "hot" Chad Henne has been the past couple of games and they now have Jason Babin. But the Bills are home, there will be cold weather, and I feel the Bills defense will be able to handle the Jacksonville offense enough to hold out for the W. Detroit Lions 35-24 Indianapolis Colts The Lions are 4-7. The Colts are 7-4. The Lions are due for a win and they showed a lot of promise last week on Thanksgiving. The Colts have won a lot of narrow games against average to below average teams. Green Bay Packers 31-17 Minnesota Vikings The Packers are coming off a tough loss against the Giants that they're looking to forget. Rodgers is a big edge for the Packers. The Vikings do have Adrian Peterson but they are without the electric play of Percy Harvin. The Packers are also at Lambeau. Kansas City Chiefs 24-10 Carolina Panthers With the death of linebacker Jovan Belcher, the Chiefs will be looking to capture an emotional victory. Running Back Jamaal Charles of the Chiefs was a good friend of Belcher's so don't be surprised if he has a very good game. New England Patriots 35-14 Miami Dolphins The Patriots have been extremely hot as of late. They have put up 108 points in their last two games. The Dolphins won't be able to handle Tom Brady and all of his offensive weapons. Arizona Cardinals 17-14 New York Jets Oi vey. Both teams are 4-7. The Cardinals started the season 4-0 and have lost seven straight. The Jets have been a mystery all season. The media has put too much blame on Sanchez and the Jets as a team has been dysfunctional. This one was a real head scratcher but I'll take the Cardinals over the Jets, barely. Edge: Jets can't get their act together and the Cardinals have Larry Fitzgerald. San Francisco 49ers 42-10 St. Louis Rams The 49ers are Super Bowl favorite. Kaepernick has been playing phenomenal in his three starts this season. The 49ers have a complete and potent offense and a stifling defense. The Rams are at the bottom of the league. I feel this game will turn out differently than the 24-24 tie in week 10. Houston Texans 28-17 Tennessee Titans The Houston Texans have been a stalwart in the NFL this season. They have a top ranked defense, and offensive playmakers in QB Matt Schaub, RB Arian Foster, and WR Andre Johnson. The Titans have put up some impressive offensive numbers at times this year, while at other times sputtering and stalling. I think the Texans will have no problem with the Titans but the game won't be a blow out. Denver Broncos 34-30 Tampa Bay Buccaneers It's hard to bet against Peyton Manning. Manning gives the Broncos an obvious edge in this matchup. However, the Buccaneers have a great talent and probably the most overlooked player in the NFL at the quarterback position, Josh Freeman. This will be a close one but Manning and the Broncos tough defense will overpower Freeman and the "Muscle Hamster" Doug Martin. Baltimore Ravens 30-14 Pittsburgh Steelers The Steelers are down to their third string QB, Charlie Batch. The past few games they have dearly missed Ben Roethlisberger. The Ravens have a great defense matched up against a disjointed offense. On offense, the Ravens have more stability. Joe Flacco is healthy, Ray Rice is Ray Rice, and Anquan Boldin and Torrey Smith are dangerous targets. This is the Ravens' division, and the Ravens will justify so today. Cleveland Browns 17-14 Oakland Raiders The battle of the 3-8 teams. Surprisingly the Browns are beginning to show promise while the Raiders have fallen apart this season. I give the edge to the Browns as they're led by talented rookies Brandon Weeden and Trent Richardson, and have a defense with some talented pieces. However, if there is any game that could go either way this week it's this one. Cincinnati Bengals 31-17 San Diego Chargers The Bengals are young, talented, and heading in the right direction. The Chargers are having another head scratching season. The Chargers's only bright spot, if you can call it that, is Philip Rivers. He has 18 passing TDs, but 14 interceptions. And he is receiving no help at all from his team. The Bengals have the eighth best passing defense in the league. They allow only 218.4 yards per game. Dallas Cowboys 28-17 Philadelphia Eagles Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy, and DeSean Jackson are all out for the Eagles. The Eagles saw their expectations for this season and ran from them. They are 3-7. The Cowboys are always dangerous. They have some nice offensive pieces in place in QB Tony Romo, WR Dez Bryant, and TE Jason Witten. Cowboys win against a weak Philadelphia team. Washington Redskins 31-27 New York Giants 7-4 New York Giants versus the 5-6 Washington Redskins. Reigning Super Bowl Champs versus the noisy neighbors. Eli Manning versus Robert Griffin III. Ah I have been waiting for this matchup. Do I go with the Giants, the team that could possibly be on another dangerous streak? Or with the team (I want to win) that has RGIII, the electrifying rookie from Baylor. I'm going to go out on a limb and take the Redskins over the ever-dangerous Giants. |
